And Just for Fun!

I have a 5 year old Paint named Sir Wicked Joker. His name fits him as he is a jokester most of the time and will do anything to get your attention. Joker is a pretty quiet horse and one of his tricks is that he will lay down on command. One day I asked Rick, my husband, to document him doing this. I figured I would get a few pictures of the process of me asking him to lay down and him laying down. Well... Rick was giving some undivided attention to his horse and missed the action, so here is Joker laying down and then me trying to bribe him to get back up. I think he was feeling lazy that day or something.

Wow.. Its been a while...

It seems like April and May of this year just flew by. I don't know where the time went. As I look back over the pictures I have taken for those 2 months, I have racked up about 3,000 images. Seems like a lot, but not as high as normal for a 2 month period. I need to catch up and post some of the images that I have taken, but for now, here are a couple of pictures of the sunset last night (Thanks to Libby for the heads up on a great sunset!).

And maybe Enxco and Flordia Light and Power are trying to tell us something with the windtowers being at the end of the rainbow?? Hmmmm.. I wonder...

Russel and Afton

Russel and Afton were married the March 22nd at Lookout Mountain in Denver. I had the honor of capturing a few memories for them at a reception in Sterling for friends and family. Here is a quick preview.

Sunset Surprise

I try to catch sunrises and sunsets, but somedays are hard. This day I was working and caught a glimpse of the sun's pink glow on the towers east of our house. The clouds were low and I knew that it would only be a short time before the light was gone. After scrounging for the charging batteries, digging in the camera bag for the extra cards, loading everything up, reformating the card to get rid of the pictures that were on there and changing all the camera settings, here are the images I captured in about a span of 6 minutes. They are the towers north, south, east and west of our house.

The fun part about getting new photography toys is that unsuspecting friends never know what I will spring on them. Kelli stopped by for a visit and I made her model for me. Thanks Kelli for being such a good sport!
